Silly people. If you know anything about horror you will understand that the best horror film is "The Thing" by John Carpenter. Absolutely faultless.

The best horror ever has to be "The Haunting' made in 50/60s in black and white remade with cathleen Zeta Jones in with all new special effects but not half as scary as original which left much more to the imagination so was scarier

I would say Carrie is the best horror movie, a real classic - BUT in terms of which one scared me the most it has to be Saw (& I'm way too scared to watch the sequels!!)

a film i saw as a kid that scarred and scared me for years was a horror called " The Burning " it was banned almost as soon as it came out for obvious reasons at the time, but would probably seem cheesy now if i saw it again. Anyonelse out there seen it ? probably about early 80s.
