My 7 year old lives with my cousin and her husband. I thought that i was given them guardianship over her to make medical decisons. I never released her biological fathers name and i have contacted him. So what are my rights or what can I do to try and get her back?

If you have released her for guardianship it is much more likely that you will have her home than if you gave her up for adoption. Her father may be able to contest an adoption better than your self. Remember that she has a good home, now and it may be selfish to have her home, especially if you're not ready. Does she want to come home?

adoption and guardianship are different. If the adoption is finalized, I don't think there's much you can do, but you should contact a lawyer.

you need to call a lawyer. you have your rights. hopefully the father will be able to help you. i went threw the same thing. my lawyer told me to get my kids and move to another county. that way my sister would have to file a petition in the county i live in. family can really suck when you need help.
