Nationals. They somehow put together a heck of a run in 2005. They had less success in 2006, but do you remember the New York series in June when Ryan Zimmerman got a walk off home run in the bottom of the ninth of Mariano Rivera. Sweet. Chad Cordero is the real deal. Even the Nationals broadcasters are funny. Now look at the Orioles. They are condemned to the Eastern Division of the AL, where they must play doormat to the Yankees, Red Sox and Blue Jays. Since Ripken retired, the Orioles have been a non-factor in the AL East. The same cannot be said about the Nats. If I lived in the Baltimore-Washington area, I'd probably be a Nat fan. Plus you get the added benefit of an old stadium that actually bounces during a rally.

The Nationals are better because they have better hitting and young players. The Orioles have better pitchers, with Chris Ray in the bullpen and Erik Bedard and Daniel Cabrera in the rotation, but the Nationals have Nick Johnson, Felipe Lopez, Ryan Zimmerman, and Austin Kearns. The Orioles have Miguel Tejada and nothing matters much to the opposing pitcher after that.

Nationals lost Soriano and Clayton 2 pretty big parts but i still feel good about them. The Orioles are most likely a better team because of there picthing and young talent. But there in the hardest divison so it will be hard for them to make any move.

Nationals. Without Soriano the Nationals will still be OK. Why did you ask this question anyway?
