I want to draw really good pictures. I can draw well, but I think I need better supplies.

You may need some good pencils. Go to your local arts and crafts store. I use Faber Castle and Eberhard Faber. Be sure to get a nice pencil sharpener.

Buy a good Kneaded Rubber Eraser. You may also want to buy some good quality drawing pads- I bought an Aquabee sketch pad and a Strathmore sketch pad.

I recently took a continuing education drawing class at the university near where I live. Our teacher told us what pencils and paper to buy. She recommended drawing every week- even if it's just small sketches. This builds up your technique and keeps you "going."

Good luck.

any good art store will have a variety of supplies. There is usually student grade and pro grade. Price will usually tell u what is the best. If you are in an area where there is no art supply just go to google to find a mail order source. I think a good brand in colored pencils is Rembrandt.

if you are painting, winsor newton water soluable oils are the best because you can use water to thin them.

good drawing to you!

If you want good colored pencils, I suggest Lyra. The lead is softer. If you cannot afford Lyra, then the watercolor pencils are a nice alternative.
