I PURCHASED A DVD FOR MY KIDS. THEY ARE FIGHTING OVER IT. I TRIED TO COPY IT TO A VHS TAPE, BUT IT FADES IN AND OUT WITH A RED HAZE. HOW CAN I COPY IT.

first get a tv tuner card for your computer if you have one this will allow you to hook up your vcr to your computer transfer the movie form the vcr to your computer then once it is on the hard drive you should be able to put a blank tape in and record or even if you have a dvd burner on your computer you cold just make another dvd..

The fading in and out is a result of the copy protection (Macrovision) on the DVD. There's really no *legal* way to copy it, which seems like a shame for people who have a legitimate need like you.

Any chance of getting the kids to co-exist? Nah, probably not, or you wouldn't have asked the question.

The dvd/vhs recorder has that option to record from a dvd to vhs. Have you tried that? I just bought my dad one for xmas. Hope they work! Good luck!

try copying it to another dvd r in a computer...its alot easier.
