You'll need lessons to learn and become proffessional but if your gonna just play a little try my steps.
1.place the shoulder rest on the violin and take the violin to your left and place the broad part on your shoulders.
2.With your left hand hold the thin part not the end a little away.
3. then with your right hand hang it like it has no energy and in between your thumb and middle finger hold the heavy end of the bow.
4. Take the bow and place on the vi0lin on the way opposite side of where your left hand is.
5. then take the energy out of your right arm and slide the bow down.
You got It!!!
It's not as simple as it looks.I'm not a proffessional too.

1) have to have a violin
2) Take a deep breath and relax your knees and your feet
3) put the violin with the chinrest under your chin
4) place your left hand under the neck
5) place your right hand on the bow. You place you thumb inside the little nook inbetween the bow.
6) put the bow on the strings between the bridge (the item that holds the strings up and the begining of the of the neck.
7) press gently on the bow and move the bow up and down on the strings.
8) Pratice moving your fingers around

If you really want to get serious about it, take some lessons

Practice, practice, practice, practice, practice.

It's going to be awfully frustrating the first few weeks, especially if you haven't yet developed a good sense of pitch in your ear. Learn scales first and practice them all over the neck. Learn basic harmonies next, and experiment with harmonies using the notes of the scales you learn. Progressively learn how to read sheet music-- but start simple. Always keep your bow arm as relaxed as possible.

Did I mention practice, practice, and practice?

Oh, and practice.

You shoud go and take classes, or hire a private teacher. You can't be seriously expecting that people will teach you via this page, can you?
