Yesterday i was about to park it in my garage, and my wife noticed the smell, as i looked out the garage door, I saw how the leak just started probably 10 feet before i got the car in, and when i turned it on again all the oil leaked out like from a shower. the engine sounded good, no impacts down there either, what the heck is going on? any advice thanks!

Could be when oil was changed the seal stuck to the filter housing and the new filter was installed, making a double seal. When this happens, they blow out easily.

The smell of burning oil suggests you have the most common source of oil leaks in that vintage: a bad oil pressure sender. It is located above the oil filter on the back of the engine. You can confirm (or rule it out) by crawling underneath and checking the oil filter - if it is oily, even on top, the pressure sender is responsible 90% of the time. Get a new OEM sender... aftermarket ones sometimes leak right away, as I learned the hard way. If you are doing it yourself, also get the socket that fits the sender. If the oil filter is not oily but the block underneath it is the O-ring under the oil filter mount is leaking.

Yes it can be anything most likely would be the oil filter or drain plug but some Accords have been to known to have the balancer shaft seal pop out suddenly. Some of the older accords actually had a recall for this.Tow it to the shop and good luck

Aftermarket oil filters can leak badly. Do you get your oil changed at a Jiffy Lube type place? Or else the oil plug is just loose or stripped.

Dude, replace the oil filter and drain plug and fil it back with oil. If it happens again then take it in to a mechanic to get looked at.

A 2002 Accord is probably too new to have problems like this on its own. I would say it's human negligence the last time you had your oil changed.................
