OK, well, limewire should work.
I assume you have already downloaded songs off of Limeiwire.
Well if you have, then click the 'explore' button on the bottom of your library of songs, then a window with your song files should pop up. From there, drag the songs into itunes or windows media player and sync it into your ipod. Windows media player is the best way to go. I like it better than itunes. I have an mp3 player too.

When downloading iTunes, make sure that you're downloading the correct version of the software. Apple makes a separate version for Mac and Windows. If that still doesn't work, try deleting and re-downloading the software.

Just an FYI, Limewire is not illegal. You can set a filter to only download music and videos legally. But yes, you need the right version of itunes and to sync it with your ipod.

There might be a problem with to many files. Keep sticking in the iTunes CD and keep trying, but get rid of the first iTunes file. Trust me, it will work. If it doesn't then contact iTunes, they always help.
P.S.- Don't tell people you are using Lime Wire, in case you didn't know, ITS ILLEGAL!!!

You need to sync the nano with itunes once you purchase and download songs from the itunes store. Limewire stuff won't work and it's illegal anyway.
ps. RTFM!

it ought to be that your brother's ipod is working off a diverse working gadget and that's puzzling your ipod and your gadget. make optimistic that your iTunes isn't employing your iPod to play any music. do this by employing clicking on your iTunes music folder, so as that this is conscious of you're no longer taking part in something on your ipod. you do no longer say the type you're disconnecting - i could use the little around clicky button that looks in the iTunes menu the place your iPod shows up. as an occasion, mine says "Greta's Ipod". OR (if employing a Mac) you could drag the ipod Icon on your laptop down into the trash. it ought to be which you ought to rigidity give up iTunes. this is complete by employing clicking on the little blue apple in the precise left of your reveal, and picking rigidity give up out of your drop down (MAC) OR by employing pressing administration+Alt+Delete (laptop). Your ipod should not be interacting with the different utility. If that doesn't artwork, you ought to consistently turn off your laptop, and then manually eject your ipod (pull it out of the dock or regardless of). this would possibly not resolve the issue, even nonetheless it ought to get your ipod out and your laptop going lower back. make optimistic that your laptop can know the two diverse ipods as diverse (locate the function which variations the call, so which you have Jane's Ipod and Steve's Ipod, or regardless of.) don't be afraid to ring Apple help: they are incredible. And consistently consistently precise disconnect first, in case you posibly can. i'm bowled over you haven't any longer run into issues faster. yet. in case you're compelled to disconnect whilst the do no longer DISCONNECT sign is on, you ought to attend till the battery dies on your ipod, then, once you recharge it, it could re-set itself. This has got here approximately to me on countless events, and it incredibly is frightening with the aid of fact it feels like the finished factor is busted. even nonetheless it is not, each and every thing could come back. good success.
