well, All Of The Nintendogs Games (they're all the same, and you can eventually have all the dogs on any version) Has A Wireless 'Bark Mode' That Allows You To Connect With Another Owner's Dog Within The Area Who Is Also In Bark Mode..
There, You Can Play With Their Dog And If You Don't Already Have That Dog, It Will Be Unlocked For You, Plus, If They Brought Something Along With Them, You Can Get It As Well..
But As For Online, You Cannot Connect Online And Meet Other Dogs..

Yes, every single Nintendogs game has wifi, but each game gets boring after a while. I suggest you get a game like animal crossing.
