people say that practice makes perfect. but...if no one is perfect, why practice?

Your trying to apply "total" perfection, to what the saying applies to one little area of life, example, playing an instrument. The 100 meter dash, martial arts, are a few other areas where the more you practice the better you get, and if you don't believe a human can't achieve perfection, then watch there Olympics, some do get 10's !
