Hi,
Because you asked a question regarding sugar soap you either must be in the UK AUS or NZ. Where the main country's that use Sugar Soap.
If you are in Australia you can buy a product call "Shift it". It comes in a spray bottle and a large refill bottle. It is the best cleaning product I have ever used. I have three kids and they always leave dirty marks on the walls. Sugar Soap is OK to remove the marks but shift it leaves it for dead.
The only places you can buy (shift it) is at places like Auto One and Auto Barn that sell car products.
My husband first bought it to clean the black oil marks out of the car wheels. Now I buy it to clean the house and even stains out of clothes.
Below is a picture of the product. Its made by Kenco. Once you have used there will be know need to waste your money on supermarket cleaning products and sugar soap.

Sugar soap could take the paint off, you'd have to try it on a small section first. You need to rinse it of well as it leaves a sort of gritty residue. As it's usually used for painting preperation. Try some white vinegar in with hot soapy water. Those eraser sponges are very good as well.

I recently moved out of a place and got all of my bond back. I used 1./4 cup bicarb soda to 1 cup white vinegar. Got just about everything off. Or, a chux magic eraser. CAn get this from coles or woolies or wherever. my partner is a mechanic and used to leave black marks EVERYWHERE. Both of these solutions seemed to work.

Like the other good 'answerer', my recommendation is the Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean....it truly is magic! On anything white, from tile to appliances to walls to shoes...it erases the mark!

Mr Clean Eraser! I would use 409 and warm water and work from the bottom to the top so you won`t have streaks.
