Try the markets on Beach St. in Chinatown. They all have great dried fruits at incredibly low prices.

Maybe look online for somewhere you can buy in bulk, which would be cheaper. . .. I usually get some from Whole Foods. In fact, several years for my grandmother's birthday they made dried fruit baskets for me- like a fresh fruit basket but with all dried fruit she loved, and it looked SO pretty, however, their dried fruit is sort of pricey, and they did charge extra for the special handling.

Trader Joe's has a great selection of nuts and dried fruit at great prices. More inexpensive than Whole Foods.
