Phoenix, Utah, Cleveland, Indiana, New Jersey, L.A. Clippers, Minnesota, Denver (among others) have never won NBA Titles.
Why? Besides the obvious fact that they are all smaller market teams.

Very teams outside of the Top 15 in market size have ever won an NBA Championship. Look it up. It's a fact. Rare exceptions: San Antonio (#29) and Milwaukee (#36).

Big market teams can afford better players. A bad example of that is the Cavs because of LeBron James, but unfortunatley for us in Cleveland that's about all we have. I think Phoenix has the best starting 5 right now since Big Ben left Detroit and I think now that Amare is back they'll win the title this year

All these teams have lacked star power and consistent funding by their respective front offices. Of course the exception to this is Utah, who had Stockton and Malone for years. Unfortunately, Michael Jordan was around with them. If not for him they could have won 2 or 3 times.

Because the team, against them, knows how good they are. So, they play 3 times as hard as they normally would. Lets say the 76ers are playing the Suns The 76ers would play really hard, and since the Suns know they're really good, they wouldn't worry, and play without care, and they would lose.

Because over the years they have had good players with the exception of barkley, chamberlain stockton or Malone but they were in the years of MJ.
