I have a Toshiba A65-126 that is about 2 yrs old. THis was before the "wide screens" came out. I notice these machines have a sharper/ finer graphics resolution, but not a really larger screen than mine.I have checked with Toshiba without results. Do these wide screens just have a different graphics card or driver; which would mean I cant really change mine; or what? Is there another answer for the machine or am I stuck with what I've got?

They have a different video card and drivers, plus the technology for LCD displays has greatly improved in the last couple years. The only way to get the crispness of the newer displays would be to use an external display rather then the laptop. How much improvement you would get with the older video card is unknown.

I don't understand how you think ur gonna change ur laptop screen from a 3:4 to a widescreen. I mean, it is possible, but the widescreen wouldn't fit properly on your laptop...

As for resolution, it just depends on whether or not there is a driver for your video card that can do widescreen resolutions. You didn't name ur vid card so I have no idea.

change teh resolution by rightclicking the desktop clicking properties then advanced tab..

If you have a widescreen you need to make sure windows knows that its a widescreen in the montiors section then you have the option to choose a wide resolution.
