Well first off I dont think you should have to change just for her.If she doesnt like it then too bad.Be yourself. You shouldnt have to mold yourself to her likings.Because if she really did like you she'd over look it.Good luck.

I think you should at least try new clothes that you think like nice. Or tell her you are going to go shopping for your own clothes so she doesn't get you something geeky.

its fine to wear only blue and grey, but if you decide you do want to try something new, take her shopping with you,,,,, let her help pick something out,,,, set the time limit to shop to an hour,,,,,from the time you go in a store or the mall,,, that way maybe you can enjoy yourself,,,,,, or atleast tolerate it since it wont be for that long,,,,,,,,,

part of growing up is expanding horizons, and some of those horizons involve how we dress, or more accurately sometimes it is good to dress to please another (specifically a girlfriend or spouse), when i was dating, the lady i was dating and i would occasionally go shopping for clothes (a royal pain in the back-side but it is time spent together and getting to know another dimension of that person...think about it) and i let them pick cloths for me, which i would then pay for, and in the process purchase something that she had chosen for herself...makes brownie points, and i learned how to dress so now most of the time the women in places i go don't say "can you believe how that guy is dressed? (eeww, giggle)" and my wife isn't embarrassed to death to be seen with me.
a fact of life, son, women tell men how to dress. and men dress the way the women in his life tell him to dress or face some real uncomfortable consequences so you may as well get aclimated to it now, ...
