via surgery I don't think its possible science hasn't come far enogh to implant hairs like that. Now speaking from a radioactive mutant point of view. The hairs are unlikely and would take time to grow in even if such mutation was possible, The web spinning wouldn't be in the wrist(Enough said), but the awarness would be possible. however for a story it does have just enough scientific basis to make it beleivable althogh not concievable.

Back in the 1980s, there were changes to a lot of things that didn't need to be changed. Remember when they changed the taste of Coke and everyone complained until they brought the original taste back? A similar thing happened to Spiderman You see, Spiderman was part of an epic series called the "Secret Wars" where he, the Fantastic Four, XMen, Avengers, The Hulk etc were transported to another planet by a supreme being called The Beyonder. They were made to fight in a war against a collection of villians (Dr Doom, The Lizard, Dr Octopus and so on) On this planet, Spiderman discovered the Black Suit, which added to his powers. It could shoot webs without the shooters and he could control it with his mind. It was part of a new campaign by Marvel and Spidey started wearing the black suit. The fans didn't like this, however, and complained until they put Spidey back in his original red and blue. The suit turned out to be alive and escaped, met Eddie Brock, and became the greatest villian Spidey ever faced, Venom. Marvel did more than make up for their mistake by turning it into a great villian. Venom will be featured in SpiderMan 3. I can't wait to see it!!!!

This is not a physics question, first of all, this is biology.

I think that combining human characteristics to that of animals will one day be possible. Many of the animals (ex: beavers) are evolutions of different animals fusion of natural characteristics.

Not for today, nevertheless. The film "Hulk" also shows things I believe will one day be possible.
Not everything in the X-men and almost nothing in the "Fantastic 4" will ever happen, I presume. But too many things not thought possible have occured over the years.

GENETICS will be the key to all this.

Posssible with genetic engineering, but you wouldn't look like the spiderman on TV. Well maybe not the psycic awareness bit. Spiders may seems to have a bit of esp, but they do have a bunch of eyes to facilitate their awareness of their surroundings.

You would look like a mutant freak, but with genetic engineering, a lot is plausible.

Those tiny hairs on his body would have to be mighty strong to be able to hold him. I also though about where spiderman's net sticks to when he is swinging along the streets. If it is on the top of buildings, he would move towards the building and ultimately smash into it?

He got the super-powers because he was bitten by a radioactive spider. Possible? No.

Yes it is but look at it from this angle. People are going to want to squash you the moment they see you or spray raid in your face.

I don't think it is possible and I have a science background.

well, with genetic engineering, anything can be possible.
maybe in the near future!
