Because when you read a well-written work, the words flow smoothly, the plot is seamless and it all seems so easy to do. When you actually sit down and try to write one, you quickly discover that it isn't anywhere near as easy as it seems. In fact, it is downright difficult.
There are any number of vanity publishers that play on people's desire to see themselves in print, or to have their stories published. It's a great source of revenue. Unfortunately, they do not provide the backup that regular publishers do, and the work is amateurish from start to finish, which is a real disappointment for the authors when they find no one wants to buy their books, and you can only give so many away as Christmas presents.
Still, it is fun to try writing and you never know when you might get a great idea, and find a publisher who will give you constructive help to get your story in shape to publish.

I think Virginia Woolf put it quite nicely
It is worth mentioning, for future reference, that the creative power which bubbles so pleasantly in beginning a new book quiets down after a time, and one goes on more steadily. Doubts creep in. Then one becomes resigned. Determination not to give in, and the sense of an impending shape keep one at it more than anything.
Publishing is like making your name known or immortalizing it. And getting an idea to write about is not difficult. I think the most difficult part is simply sitting down and actually doing that.
Because when you write a book, you have to consider even the smallest details, but just making an idea is simply a main idea - it's how much effort I guess people are willing to put into that idea

Many people want to publish a book because they think it's easy to write, however, they are too lazy to accually sit for a few minutes a day to brainstorm.

i do no longer choose for to deter you, yet...i've got seen some tries at writing via some people who do no longer seem to realize how substantial form and accuracy are. the 1st step for somebody who hasn't completed an excellent form of writing, is to do an excellent form of interpreting. next could be to take some training that rigidity you to jot down issues which you does no longer choose for to jot down--and then be graded on it, so which you will discover out what skills you may paintings on recuperating. i've got study some drafts that somebody concept have been waiting to be sent to a writer, and located that the author misspelled words, did no longer understand punctuation, did no longer understand storytelling, did no longer understand the subject o.k., etc. i've got completed it myself. i presumed i replaced right into a genius for some 12 months--then found out that each thing I wrote replaced into detrimental. After that, I subscribed to a author's magazine and study all of the articles with reference to the craft of writing. i offered/study books approximately writing, and that i study an excellent form of novels. I nevertheless have issues to earnings, yet i've got come a protracted way (i wish). attempt to get some impartial (and brutally uncomplicated) grievance approximately what you have written so a great way. in case you do in comparison to what you hear, don't sense undesirable, in basic terms use it to earnings the place you may strengthen.

People believe that they can just write one and that they don't need to put in all of the hard work and that they will just get published without even trying they don't realize that it doesn't work that way and if you don't put in the hard work then you don't get the fame and glory.

The time for writing books is done. Return to the city and let yourself be immersed in the colours and smells of the market.
