Partying with friends at a friend's new house in the city.

initially my wife and I will be in the new house which we got keys for last week, so letting off some fireworks out the back then we`re off to a friends house to meet up with my Brother his Fiancee and more buddies and crack some beers,
what I`m looking forward to most is going back to Hong Kong with my wife and spending Chinese New Year there as well, the fireworks are amazing over the harbour.

Probably sitting on my butt watching TV. I have a 16 month old and absolutely NO life. LOL! Actually, now that you mention it, I'm a little miffed that my best friend is attending a ROCKIN' party and said she's "allowed to invite a few people" per the host but politely insinuated that I would not be one of those people even though I didn't assume, ask or hint that I would like to be. I'm kind of wondering why she even mentioned it to me now!

Going with my girlfriend to her friend's house out-of-state and sleeping over. I'm making dessert pizza, and my GF is making swedish meatballs from a recipe that her friend gave her. My GF tells me that there is going to be A LOT of food and a lot of nice people who I'll be meeting for the first time!
This is the first 'public appearance' with my GF (meeting/hanging out with her friends). Hope they don't grill me too much.
New Years' Day is also my GF's birthday, so I'll be giving her a present--hopefully some butterflies under glass (she photographs butterflies for a hobby).

I have invited three couples over to our house for dinner and drinks. We play card games and talk while watching the TV to know when it is New Years. We have been doing this dinner for 15 years. We also exchange gifts.

My husband and I stay home and make our next years' promises to each other. At midnight we seal the deal with a kiss (and whatever else follows). We spend the rest of the year trying to make good on those promises.
