because it cost like 40 cents and they want that extra money same as "do you want to upsize", "biggie size" etc. It is called suggestive selling it also raises the average amount spent by customer total. all in all it helps with P&l's profit loss variances. with cheese it is also just a good idea to ask because customers get to the window and day of yeah can i get cheese on that.

Because they want you to WANT the cheese.

When I order mine with cheese, they never put it on. I think it's their way of entertaining themselves.

because they charge like a quarter, but it costs perhaps 4 cents a slice. profit margins, baby!

why do you pay $1.69 for a lg pop that's 1/2 ice when you can pick up a 2 liter for $1.29 ???? your convenience=their PROFIT
