Good grief.
I do all the grounding nowadays, but I think the last time I was grounded was when I snuck (is that a word?) out the window of my bedroom to go out with friends.
I discovered I'd been caught when my mom stuck a note on my window saying, "Don't bother coming back through the window...use the door."
I was about 16, so that would have been 23 years ago.

My parents don't usually ground me, but...
The first and last time was when I was about seven--I snuck out the back door and hid in my next-door neighbor's porch because I thought that my curfew was far too early. The plan went well for about five minutes in which we stood and did nothing. Then my parents started calling my name out the door of our house and I crouched down because I realized they could see me, but too late. Busted. Oh well, I was only "grounded" for a day anyways, although I remember the tortured feeling as though it lasted a week. Ah the attempted rebellion of a seven-year-old...

At the office, two weeks ago, by my boss, the whole team was "grounded" until the job was done. it had to be done before Christmas.

riding a mini-bike on a public street when i was 13-- pops confiscated the mini-bike and the cops wrote me a ticket-- i was to not leave the house or yard for 30 days-- what a bummer !!
