well pregnancy durning the pregnancy some women get red splotchy faces that is usually considered a pregnant mask, some women get oily skin but thats due to hormanal changes. the main things that change is the womans stomach stretch marks are for ever nothing gets rid of them. some women get soft squishy boobs where before they was nice and firm. but most women are afraid of the pain contractions are very painfull to explain this to a guy would kind of be like eating a lot of food alot of food where your stomach hurts so bad and is all tight and very painful times that pain buy 10 constant painful tight ness in your stomach your whole stomach from your pelvic bone up to your rids, and then when the baby is coming out the vagina only opens to a whole 10 cm and the baby is going to be some where around 7 pounds and 20 inches long. and lol my daughter her head what 15 inches around so you can imagine why alot of women are afraid of child birth. hope this helped i am a mom of 2 and in 5 wks am expecting another one.

Besides labor pains a womens body will never be quite the same as it was before she gave birth. Some women do not get the option of pain medication or choose not pain meds so it can be a real ordeal. How about men considering a baby being born from one of their orifices?

The two times I was pregnant was the most wonderful times of my life. Pregnant women have a glow about them that make them beautiful. It does not affect their beauty, during or after the pregnancy. Women are afraid because of the excruciating pain. But the pain is over quickly and forgotten.

Yes, some women are afraid of the weight gain. But if you're smart and eat right.. You'll only gain what is needed, and will basically be all baby rather than weight. Some women are also scared of the pain that labor can cause and such. Not to mention, your whole life changes.

I was always told I was beautiful during my pregancies, and I had 4 children. If you don't work out and take care of your self, then yes it could cause you to look older and obese. Start working on your body at least by two weeks, start off slow by just an extra walk or eating light.
Do not start in two weeks if you have had a c- section.

Well, put yourself in her place...you get stretch marks so you will feel horrible showing your stomach after the birth, you get a little chunky and it seems like it takes forever to lose the weight, at the end of the pregnancy you can't see your feet, and the mood swings and weird cravings don't help.

Yeah, having a baby affects your physical appearance, but that isn't what scares me. I worry that I'd mess up the poor kid. Its the responsibilty that is scary to most, but I guess stretch marks are kinda scary.

Well, I'm not scared for my figure, that's being too materialist and stupid, I'm worried because of the pain, many women say that's the most horrible pain of the world.
