Had an arranged marriage to a girl, met her thrice before marriage, behaviour normal till 1 month before marriage, became very rude after this,did not return my calls. I was going to call off the marriage seeing this,she suddenly became normal. Marriage day was a disaster, girl was behaving very badly from day one. Went abroad for honeymoon and things went from bad to worse. Tried physically hitting me more than once, said forced into marrying me by her family. Marriage not consumated . Girl left me for outstation job after staying 25 days. 25 days of sheer unadulterated hell, rough words,insinuations for me. Tried every way way to provoke me by insulting & deameaning me in front of total strangers. somehow kept my cool. No reply to any of my mails. All correspondence returned back. I Filed for divorce after this. No response from girl to summons. Any suggestions/views would be greatly welcome rgding the validity of my case and the chances/time of getting thru this.Wats my bst hope

Cheer up!!!! U have solid ground for divorce as per HM act.
U r going to win the case.The only pb in the contested case i it will take about 2-3 years in India (once she replies to the summons & she is represented by her lawyer)
If summons cant be served u will get Ex-Party divorce in Indian court.The pb with this is it can be easily reversed if she comes back in 6-12 months & files in the court that she is not aware of the case etc etc...
Here is what i suggest.
1.Go ahead with the Ex-party
2.U will have to give evidence in the court by the way of written evidence
3.The lawyers tend to tell u that since it is not contested u need not have to give detailed evidence.Dont fall into this trap.
When u give ur evidence in writing write ALL the cruelty & desertion points systematically(refer to the old judgements/citations to get some idea).Cover all the possible points.This is becoz if to ur badluck the ex-pary gets reversed in her favour & u had to contest the case u cant keep filing new eveidence related to the past(until the time of filing)
The best thing is u need not have to pay any Maintenance even under section 24 i.e when the case is going on or after the case is over.The court will consider her abroad work while deciding maintenance.

I would say, you better call your parents and her parents and inculding her , tell them the truth. Let them know it. Otherwise, if that girl do anything stupid, The blame is on you and your entire life will be spoiled. So best talk to all at one time. Not in seperate time. Do this before you start to divorce. Did you ever try to get to know why she was like that. So when you talk infront of parents, you can tell that and ask this why they spoiled the life of both of yours.
Or if you really like and love her. Give her more time and you go meet her and talk to her. And ask for the reason why she is like that. If her reason is true , better you ask for the decision which she likes it. And follow it.

I'm curious why so many agree to arranged marriages like they must follow their families wishes because it's so sacred, but divorce is never a problem. Of course, you need to divorce. You two do not love one another plain and simple. Go out and date and find your own mate.

A good ground for annulment is unconsummated marriage. Aside from this, verbal abuse is a form of psychological abuse which is also one ground. get an annulment, find someone you love and who loves you in return and live your live fully.

If she does'nt show for the trial she is in default and the judge usually will rule in your favor..I think you are golden....
