People honestly think 'innocent' lives are being lost in Iraq. Bush has also lied. Bush is the worst president. He is an idiot... List goes on.

How can one think this? Those innocent lives signed up in the army to protect this nation, which we had invaded to protect it. Now it is our duty to make sure that country doesn't become an anarchy. So someone tell me why we MUST leave Iraq.

I love the line "Bush Lied" because there is never any example of it - just 'he lied'. Please someone enlighten me.

If you think he is the worst president in history, take a history class again and you'll change your mind. If you thoroughly know your history, please say why.

Unfrozen Caveman...You're just the kind of people I'm talking about.

What happens when they get a WMD in the shape of a suitcase and merely get here and blow the city up, no thousands of planes required.

Bush's investment...I left that one out. Bush is making no profit from this war.

And Kissmy,

If I said I'm going to catch that 3 foot fish and I just so happen to not get it...would you hate me for it? If I seriously tried to catch it but I never quite knew where to look to nab it, would you hold that against me?

I'm not going to get into whether GW lied about weapons of mass destruction, but he has definitley lied. On 10/25/06 a reporter asked him if we were winning the war and Bush said, "Absolutely, we're winning." When he was later asked about this assertion, he claimed,"We're not winning, but we're not losing." Bush also went before the press and told them that Rumsfeld would serve as Sec of Defense throughout his second term. Shortly thereafter he accepted his resignation admitting that they had been having talks about finding his replacement all along. I know you are going to say, he didn't want to hurt troop morale or he didn't want to affect the outcome of the elections, but they are still lies none the less.

Furthermore, your assertion that "those innocent lives signed up in the army to protect this nation, which we had invaded to protect it." is completely false. If you remember, we went to war in Iraq to protect ourselves and the rest of the free world from the alleged WMDs in Iraq. We did not go to Iraq to "protect it" or their people. The assertion that we went to help their people only came to light after no WMDs were found.

As for the innocent lives that you are talking about, you seem to be forgetting the incident in Haditha. Yes, I agree that this was an isolated incident, but I doubt you would be asking these questions if it was your mother, father, brother, or sister that was murdered by soldiers from another country.

Last, it is impossible to determine who is the worst president in history. I have studied a great deal about the previous U.S. Presidents and understand what you are saying when you say "people would change their minds" if they took a history class, but regardless of how you feel about the current administration, you have to admit that it is definitely not one of the administrations that GOP faithful will be celebrating.

As for Bush lying: he didn't do it directly, he had his cronies do it for him knowingly and unknowingly. Either way, he's the boss so the blame goes right back on him. Lying involves WMDs in Iraq (they all knew they weren't there), the terror links to Iraq (Saddam was on many terrorist hit lists, they're glad now that he'll be dead in a month), and that the country actually needed new anti-terror legislation to put more power in the executive branch (no such thing was needed). He wasn't the worst president ever, but he sure made the world much less safe for anyone. By this I mean that the US actions have fueled a hatred that has never been this bad before among the global salafi jihadist movement. These people did not have such a massive pool of recruits until now.

Regarding Iraq, leaving now would hand the south to Iran, the middle to the Wahhabis, and the north to the Kurds, triggering Turkey to come in and regulate. But all the hearts and minds were lost ages ago, the country is in a great deal of chaos, but the US should leave and supervise neighbors to prevent intervention and let the dust settle. Of course the massive flood of asylum seekers in neighboring states is the US' responsibility too, but that's another topic.

Not as a comment as to whether or not Bush is a good president, he has been the worst leader the country has ever seen. You don't have to go much farther than this forum to see that.
This country was attacked on 9/11. Everybody wanted retribution for that act. Today hardly anyone agrees that his policies have even come close to punishing those who attacked us.
Was Iraq a justified invasion? We don't know anymore.
Should we just withdraw from Iraq? Leaving that country is disarray would be morally wrong.
With such a mess in Iraq, is it any wonder most Americans question Bush's wisdom?

Bush said Iraq had WMDs. They didn't
Bush said they were buying uranium from Niger. They weren't
Bush said the bought aluminum tubes for nuclear work. Not true.
Bush said Atta met with Czech intelligence. Not true.
1400 days ago Bush stood in front of a banner saying "Mission Accomplished." Not true.
Bush said he'd get OBL. He hasn't.

As far as a history class is concerned: A recent bi-partisan group of historians and history professors rated Bush the worst President in our history.

yes there are innocent lives lost in Iraq same s any other war the civilians are always the ones who suffer the most, just look at the people who died in Ga, when the great hero Sherman marched thru, burning homes fields killing their livestock etc, these were he declared war on civilians , and yes no doubt George Bush cartel makes money on this war same as Roosevelt and every other presidents and most other politicians have,
the information that Iraq had W,M,D, was given to our C,I,A, by the Israeli mossad "Israels intelligences " they knew this was false info, but the wanted the U,S, to destroy their worst enemy, we did. this same info was given to our congress and senate, so why are you people putting all of the blame on Bush , congress also voted to invade Iraq ," how soon we forget."

and yes if you don't catch that damned fish, I am going to try to get a lynching party together , do you know what for?

well... some innocent Iraqis have probably died... but, unfortunately that is part of war...

and do you honestly believe he has been 100 percent honest with everything? he is a politician?

he did say that they did have WMD made post gulf war... and then he said that they didn't? while it may not have been intentional... it would seem to be a lie...

I don't think he's the worst president ever though... I don't think he's anywhere near the best either...

one bush lie was saying OBL would be caught no matter what. then he said he was unconcerned with OBL.

it's not the fact he didn't catch him,it is that he now says he is unconcerned. i don't consider the following a lie just an act of disrespect for the troops: his "joking" around about looking for WMDs in the WH
