I adore music from the 70s. That was music, lots of rock, lots of soft rock, lots of heavy metal, good guitar sounds. Good group blends. A large majority of them are still very, very, famous.

how could anyone not? the 70s had everything...from free love and flowerpower and protest songs all the way up to Donna Sommer and everything in between. Knights in white satin, Paradise by the dashboard light, Stayin' alive, Killing me softly,I wanna rock and roll all night (and party every day!) the seventies had it all. so sad compared to today with all the generic twaddle we have now.
