ok im not insane if i say my opinion but don't u think it has been given so much importance?? do tell me whats the good thing with it!! just justify it!

It's a simple plot designed for immature minds. This is not meant as an insult to the show/film or to its fans. It's not Les Miserables or Rent because it's not meant to be. It's meant to cater to the junior high demographic, who are not as psychologically mature as the demographic for which most Broadway/West End plays are directed.
It's a cute show; cheesy, but cute. I have some critiques of the music and its performers, but that's for another thread.

i think the movies ok. its got good songs and has a good storyline.
just so you know, theres going to be a high school musical 2 and high school musical 3. it is going to be a triology
they are filming the 2nd movie now
