I think Teddy is a cute name for a hamster. I named an old hamster Bam-Bam (and the female was obviously Pebbles).

Hamlet is pretty common for a hamster. But cute.
For his coloring: Patches, Paisley, Motley, Tapestry...
To joke about his small size: Goliath, Monster, Samson...
