Its called a Jumble sale, churches, play groups, scouts etc collect unwanted clothing or bric-a-brac and sell it to raise funds for their particular cause.

Jumble sale - it's like a yard sale.
I didn't think Last of the Summer Wine would translate well across the Atlantic. That's not knocking you or anything, I'm just surprised.

I Think you mean JUMBLE SALE It's were people sell their old items like a car boot but without the car (all old brick-a-brack)
