It's a difficult and thorny ethical question. I had one of the pot plants from beside my front door pinched - probably for some scumbag's Mum for Christmas - and it was one of a selected pair so there's that stuffed. Thing is, maybe the Mum will get the pressie and get real pleasure out of it. Maybe she will be helped in her quest to not see her offspring for the thieving little prick s/he undeniably is. Maybe I should just turn the other cheek and figure 'well, as long as someone gets pleasure from it' ...

No. Stuff that. I feel violated and ripped off and I want the little ****s shot. Shall we form a mob?

it not very christian to seek revenge but the Bible also says an 'eye for an eye'
So I reckon you should do unto them that do unto you. get your revenge and enjoy it !
I have had my car broken into and although it was 3 years ago it still affects me . Even worse than the scum who break into cars are the Mersey-side police who didn't bother to catch the bandits even though they were caught on cctv using my stolen credit card to get petrol!
So get your revenge if you can as the police wont be of much use !

There is zero chance of them being dealt with by the law. If you can be 110% sure that you will be able to find the right person/people, then take the law into your own hands. This is the only way that this will be resolved. Make sure that the little s**t knows the reason, and knows that if he takes any action against you, he will suffer even worse consequences.

Justice ,yes, revenge, no. Usually with revenge you end up getting yourself in trouble by trying to do something to hurt them and 9 x's out of 10.....it never really hurts them...just ticks them off more and the cycle continues.

Revenge would probably be deeply satisfying at the very instant your speeding car drives into the person you blame for damaging it.

I suspect, though, that you'd have plenty of long, lonely years in prison to regret it.

i'm sorry for all your tricky situations. this could nicely be a good Bible verse for a youthful guy with a broken heart: Isaiah 40:29-31 He provides potential to the weary and will improve the skill of the vulnerable. Even youths advance drained and weary, and youthful adult adult males stumble and fall; yet people who wish interior the Lord will renew their potential; they are going to run and not advance weary, they are going to stroll and not faint.

Legally wrong certainly, but given the state of the law in Britain today I would say it would not be morally wrong.

If I found a Burglar in my house I would kill him & bury the body. Whats the harm in that?

An Eye for an Eye...

by revenge are we talking violence here??

if you know who did it a better idea would be to get them to do something for you to pay for the windows,

if they are kids get the parents on side with you and maybe they could wash your car or clean your garden. that would be a better way of getting them to pay than just thumping them!!

but i must say that thumping them would make you feel better for a short while until the police arrived to arrest you for assault!!

think before you leap

lol

I do not think it is wrong if thats how you feel. But the problem with this country is that it is you that will end up getting in trouble and as usual they will get of scot free. Be sensible and do not take the law into your own hands. take care

technically yes, but its your only chance of justice these days.

not sure how the car alarm will save your windows, i think its a US response.

If you can nail the little b*****d and not get done for it yourself, or if you know a local heavy who can just scare them it might put them off in the future.
