I really like the xbox 360 but its too expensive. I like the ps2 but i kind of want the new gen so which one is the better choice? Also does Ps2 have good graphics and one which would 2k7 be better?

Personally, I'd get the PS2. The graphics are still great and there's a huge amount of game variety out there, which is usually why I shy away from Xbox.
However, PS2 only has one more big game lined up for 2007, so if you want something fresh for next year, get the Xbox 360. The graphics are pretty awesome as well.

Save up for a 360. The only reason to get a PS2 now is because of the games, and you could just buy a PS3 and use them on that. Plus the 360 is gonna have some monster titles coming out soon. Gears of War is already out, as is Lost Planet, I believe. Not to mention Halo 3 will be coming out later in 2007.

I think that the choice depends on whether you are patient or not. Currently, there are not many games out for the 360. There are many more out for the PS2. If you can't wait, then get the PS2 and start playing many games right away. If you can wait for games of your taste to come out, then get the 360.
Considering your situation, my choice would be to wait and save up some money for the 360. While saving up, maybe more good games will come out, and by the time you have enough money, then many more games will be out for you to choose from.
