I've got this email address for someone... and I want to know what her lastname is. I know her 1st name and her email addy... but I don't know her lastname..... I CANNOT ask her, for various reasons.

No -I'm not stalking and No, it has nothing to do with myspace. AND - I did email her, but apparantly her inbox was too full or she hadn't checked in a while because it kicked the mail back to me. I can't ask her because she will think the same thing that you guys think. She'll think I'm being weird and underhanded. You can't just message someone and ask their last name. What I really want is her phone # but I can't ask her for that either. It sounds like I'm asking for an underhanded reason but it isn't. It's just too much to explain, when I can just ask the question I asked, instead.

There is no specific way to do that. The best you can do is to google the email addy (or chat name) and see if it comes up w/ her last name.
Most of us don't want people to know our real name.

well u could try sending her an email and if she replies..her email should say her first and last name
just wondering.r u doing this because u cant add her on myspace because in able to do so u have to know her first and last name?
edit:
the only other thing u can try is by asking someone who knows her as well.
but really..if u really wanna know her number..just ask her..it's not that big of a deal
and i've had someone ask me for my last name..that was the only thing the person said in the message..yes i thought it was weird but not that weird..it did make me wonder y the person asked for my last name..but i got over it fast cuz like i said its not a big deal..alot of people know my last name anyway. and maybe the person just wanted to get to know me better..u know?

You can't unless she put the personal info. (first & lastname) in her profile...NOPE! I don't feel right helping you if you know her name but you just can't ask her last. Sorry! Sounds like internet stalking.
