the password to your partner's email account, and they didn't know that you knew, would you look in it?

I'm not asking for myself - I was just curious about what people would do...

Dang! I sure would look! Done it before and got into serious trouble, but would still do it again!!! Curiosity can be heavy sometimes, you just have to "get it off your shoulders"...

I am going to assume here the only reason you want to "peek" is because you think he/she has something to hide. So assuming this......NEVER...

I know all my husbands passwords and I would never imagine going in without his knowledge. (If he doesn't have his laptop he has asked me by phone to check things in his email for him) I believe the bottom line is respect and trust. If you do not already have these, why continue? I respect and trust my husband very much and he returns both. As much as I love him, if he ever truly betrayed my trust it would be over because I am not going to waste precious time and energy following his every move.

If you are insecure or you truly believe he/she is hiding something from you, talk to him. If he has nothing to hide, he can ease your insecurities right then and there. He may not even know you are feeling insecure. Make sure you approach it in a gentle way as to not make him feel like he is being attacked.

Good Luck and Happy New Year.

Only a woman would consider such a sneaky, underhand thing to do. If you did read their emails and found out something bad about yourself, you'd be outraged. Then what would you do?, call your friend all the names under the sun whilst forgetting how you found out in the first place. Leave it alone, it does not have your name on it and no doubt, you'd be as mad as hell if they read your email account.

unless they specifically ask me to look into their email account and for a specific reason that is important and that i should know, then absolutely not. for me, it will be like reading someone else's diary and that is definitely something we are not allowed to do because by doing so is an invasion of that person's privacy. besides, i wouldn't want anyone to look into mine, so why would i want to look at theirs?

i know the right thing to say is no but honestly i don't know if i trust myself enough to hold back. this is not saying that you should or shouldn't. if i thought he would be upset if he found out then i would probably look coz it means he might have something to hide, or maybe he just hates having he privacy invaded i dunno what you do is up to u.

If you trust your partner, why would you need to? If they found out, it could spell the end of your relationship.

Proceed with caution.

i wouldn't be able to resist -not that i think they would be too bothered - but remember, maybe they know your password too so be sure that you have nothing to hide!

Well i wouldn't but.....
How did you find out what his password was in the first place?
I bet you search through his pockets and follow him when he goes out as well.
Surely he should be entitled to some privacy!
You must be a very insecure person.

Maybe. You should be able to trust them but if for some reason you didn't, then I would.
