Because I'm right handed and it's a natural thing to do. My right side is more dominent than my left. Yup...that's it....the reason I always walk with the right foot first. Because somehow I don't think I want to start things off on the wrong foot!

Because 90% of the planet earth is right-handed, and so the body parts are also oriented towards the right side as well. Since most people are right-handed (there's no denying that), the standard has just become to do everything with the right side, including stepping first with the right foot.

Not everyone walks with their right foot first. If you do, then you would also snowboard or skateboard with your right foot first. This is called goofy, and it doesnt mean your goofy. If you are regular, you are left foot first. It has nothing to do with what hand you use to write. I myself am goofy. Enjoy your day.

because you are right foot dominateunless you have been in the military then you are left foot dominate by default. But then again some people are left side dominate

not true i'm left side dominant so i always walk with my left foot, but not every one is granted the great gift of being left dominant so it just looks like everyone does

I think it depends on the person. I walk with my left leg first. Are you right handed? It may have to do with that. I am left handed.
Anyway thats my concultion it depends on what handed you are....
