Disable it. The best thing to do when installing anti-virus software, is to Customise the installation. Some firewalls are impossible to remove without damaging your computer. Another way is to go into System Restore, and restore your computer to a time prior to the installation in question.

would help if you said which firewall and possibly gave a reason for why as removing a firewall is not a good idea unless you want a load of viruses and other junk coming in.

Windows firewall can be disabled by right clicking on the network connection or internet connection and choosing change firewall settings.

If you have a third party firewall installed uninstall it. If it is a hardware firewall in your router you would need to go in to your router settings.

Like I said before doing this would not be advised

well you could, the best option is to turn the firewall off, but this is not a good idea for you will be open to attack from every virus, spyware, tracking cookies there is out there on the web. why would you want to do this foolish act when most user's do their up most to protect their computer, seems a bit daft if you ask me.

U didnt tell us which firewall. Any ways, go to start- control panel - Add remove programs and from there, u should find the name of ur fire wall and then click on remove. That should do it.

Comment back if u need further help,

I definitely do not recommend that you should do this unless you replace it with another firewall.

If you are connected to the Internet without a firewall, you are just asking for trouble!

Well now, you first have to make very sure that it's not actually a supporting wall, or the house could collapse.
