But the capacity bar says that its full. The break down is 193.2MB is Audio, Other has 3.49GB and Free Space is only 928KB.
Apple website spec says I can have upto 1000 songs. I only have 50 - so why can't i put on any more songs?? And why is the Other taking up so much memory, I have no pictures or other files on there apart from the 50 songs.

Please help I'm really confused!!!!

its possible that the tracks are in the wrong format mp3 is the most compact and aac use the bigger files but the aac files are normally better quality. You might need to convert the aac to compress them into smaller files thus releasing more room on the ipod. An average song is 4 mins long but if you have extended tracks than they might be 8-10 mins long. The 1000 songs is the max if they were all the 4 mins long and the compressed size.

specific. you're able to besides. this is barely 50 dollars extra to double your storage ability. I basically offered an 8 gig nano on Ebay for $220. in the previous that I have been given a 4GB for $70 on ebay. So i could propose checking on Ebay for constructive.

make sure that your songs have been converted in to mp3, if they are something else they may use more space.
