I agree with UNO on the national health care. That's about it.

The problem with the democrat party is that they are owned by Leftists who are, by ideological nature, hostile to America.

I believe in conservatism. I think everyone should conserve and be conscious of our environment but in a rational manner. Now a days from reports I've read concerning what I call the irrational far Lefts doom and gloom on global warming. (Al Gore and friends) they are doing more harm then good. One quick example is when the pesticide DDT was banned over 50 million people have died in African countries. The Eco freaks said that DDT although I admit can be dangerous if not applied right did far more harm to mother earth then it helped. But no evidence has been found to support that accusation. Now they are saying the wide spread outbreak of Malaria in Africa and other countries is because of global warming. Just not true it was there before DDT was used and is simply back after it's banning. And the now democrats support the Eco freaks. And the rest of their idiology is not based on reality. We simply cannot have a utopian society by making everyone equal. But on the other side the Repo's seem to have lost sight of their conservative beliefs for the most part. But are still based more in reality then the Dem's are. So no I can't find any ideas on the left that I find benificial to America. But the repo's have a few good qualities. But I am very dissapointed in both parties over all.

I'm sure there will be many answers where people say, "I do not agree with anthing the liberals say", or "I do not agree with anything the con's say". Many people do not even realize the difference in Con/Rep and Dem/Lib.
I know many Republicans who ae liberals, and I know many Democrats who are conservative.
For the question. I feel, a true American should have a little qualities of both parties. I was raised a Democrat but since I believe more in what the republicans are doing right now, I'm voting more republican that democrat.
I know this sounds strange and it's just my opinion from watching party lines for many years that the parties are slowly switching. The democraic party is not the party of Roosevlet, Truman, and John Kennedy.
I think the best policy is to vote for the man, not the party. When you let a label like Rep/Dem or Con/Lib rule you, your voice is lost.

I'm not sure if democrats support this, but I'm in favor of decriminalizaton of drugs. I think drug use/abuse should be treated by society as a health issue, not a crime issue.

It's hard to know what democrats stand for because it seems like they mostly just criticize Bush and republicans, but don't really offer many original ideas.

I'm against abortion, higher taxes, a federal minimum wage, amnesty for illegal aliens, and pulling out of Iraq before the job is done.

I'm for school choice and social security personal accounts and govt support of faith based charities and conservative judges. I think it is OK to hold terrorists at Gitmo and also support wire tapping of phone calls coming from known terrorists outside of the country to citizens inside the country.

I suspect I don't agree with democrats on much.

Neither! i don't be attentive to what occasion i help, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that this is easily not the republicans or democrats. I go alongside with the form occasion in lots of strategies, yet then whilst i for my section examine the form, i found out how a lot trash is unquestionably in it. i'm an anti federalist, and that i don't be attentive to what occasion I help. BTW, I dislike the republicans greater then the democrats.

I'm a Democrat but I support the Republicans on the death penalty. Liberal Democrats are against the death penalty but I support it and I also support Republicans in their quest to end affirmative action. It seems they share my opinion on this issue and would like to see the Democratic Party embrace these beliefs.

I am a Republican and while am personally opposed to Abortion, I do not feel it is the place of the courts to tell a woman what to do with her body. I am also straight and married with kids, but have some gay friends who are in long term relationships and think they should be afforded the same rights and protections as straight couples, I am opposed to gay marriage, but on the other hand, why shouldn't they have the chance to be as miserable as the rest of us.

Stem cell research. Embrios that have not been emplanted in wombs can't become humans. Given the state of science right now, I think most of our effort should be focused on adult stem cells as they are being used to save lives every day.

I'm Republican, and I actually do support a form of modified amnesty, with proper controls, for illegal aliens. Make them pay taxes for the services they use, and document them, fine them and let them work. Problem solved.
