Shoppers around the country say they are planning to spend an average of $907 for gifts this holiday season, down from $942 last year according to the 21st annual survey on holiday spending from the American Research Group, Inc. The overall average planned spending is down about 4% from 2005.

I spent $0 unless you consider food an expense...then about $50. How much did you good little sheep spend? How much debt did you encur? Was it worth it? Finding yourself with lots of garbage today?

I spent way too much, but incurred no debt. I did not spend what I could not afford to. I am a mother of five, who not only starts shopping in January for the following Christmas, but I buy for those that are less fortunate and in need. I don't pay attention to the monetary aspect. Christmas isn't all about the gifts honey.

I spent about $450 this year, about $250 less than last year.

Oh and incurred no debt, and it only took me 15 minutes to clean up the mess. WOW

Totally worth it.

More than $1, less than $1,000,000. No debt.

Each present I gave was a thoughtful expression of my love for people in my life. It was worth it. And no, I don't have lots of garbage today.

*You sound angry. Perhaps it time to focus your attention on something good.
