I just want the papers signed for peace of mind but may not file them for a year or two or ever. Odd? I know.

LOL- this is kind of funny you say this because my ex husband signed the papers back in April and I havent filed them yet because I just havent had the $ to bring to the court. They were NOT dated at the time though, so I am waiting until I have the $ together to at least start filing and have them notarized and everything. You can sign them, just don't date or notarize them until you are ready to file. Why on earth though, would you want them signed???? That is kind of a bad thing to hold over someones head when you are married to them.

PS. I AM in florida, just in case you were wondering.

I do not have a clue to the answer of that question but perhaps know somewhere you can go to find the answer. You need to go to the state of Florida courthouse website and search under divorce or marriage and the answer will be there or if not just call a local lawyers office and ask to speak to a divorce paralegal who will be happy to answer your question.
