I don't know much on this topic so maybe this will help. I have a 95 civic DX SOHC, its got the d series motor, non-VTEC... and i have a 93 Integra LS motor DOHC, i think its a B18A1, also non-VTEC sitting that a buddy is selling. Is this motor swap possible? I know the clutch on my car is hydralic and on the integra its cable, does that pose a problem? Any information or help on where to find info. on this subject would be greatly appreciated. thanx --T.Toben

ohhh yeah most definitely.... here is what your best bet to find more info on... search forums about this subject on www.hondacivicforum.com www.turbod16.com or such.... ask away in the noobie sections on what kinda things you need in particular... I believe that one like yours is the most simplistic to swap, I could be wrong... but you will need engine and tranny mounts for the new engine, but overall this is a relatively easy swap, but be careful if you drop too heavy of an engine like a dohc you really need to change your overall suspension before you install the new engine... personally I have a d15b7 non vtec in a 93 civic sedan that i put a d16z6 vtec cylinder head onto which are interchangeable... put a p28 ecu ran the vtec solenoid wires and a new timing belt and now im goin from 102 to 127 hp... I know not much at all and then I put a performance camshaft, cam, valve springs, retainers, edelbrock intake manifold and throttle body and dropped out the AC... to the bottem end i put vitara pistons and performance rods with new bearings and put my compression into the low 9 's and i was looking at 167 hp i believe it was... i did some port and polish too.... then with a built motor I could boost it, so i ran me a turbo system and chipped my ECU and am now looking anywhere between 225 and 350 hp all according to my turbo setup... i might put nitrious idk yet... anyway... yeah you can definally work with what you got man... "you can only go as fast as your wallet will allow you" and im a strong believer in that.

It is possible to swap engines, but the problem is that I'm reasonably sure that your transmission and clutch setup won't work with the Integra engine. My advice is to call your local salvage yard/used parts dealer. They have a database that shows what years and models' engines/transmissions are compatible with each other. I'd definitely make sure that your tranny is compatible before you go through the hassle of pulling your engine, only to find that your tranny won't work... and it might not. Hope this info helped.

Yes it is. My neighbor and I recently put a B18 from an LS Integra into a CRX. You'll need the tranny from an integra, hydralic resevior/lines. Also you'll need the axles and I believe an integra hub...That part I am not sure about.

go to the book store there is probably 10 different books dealing with Honda engine swaps. as far as the clutch is concerned if the transmission is the same swap the clutches and bolt up the engine.
