I live in NY too, and all you have to do is go to www.plannedparenthood.org and at the top of the screen you can find a P.P. near you by typing in your zip. Then just call the number for that P.P. and set up an appt.

Tell them not to ever call your house phone (so that they don't ever call and your parents acciedentally pick up.) And when you have your appt., and you fill out your information (address, etc.) it should ask "can we send planned parenthood info to your home?" Just check "No"

And tell them you just want everything private.

At 17 your records can not be released to your parents with out your consent. Planned Parenthood is the best place to go. They keep every thing confidential.

You can get birth control from planned parenthood without parents permission. I don't know if you have one near you but you can look it up on their site. Goodluck :)

to S.H's commeny..

Its not that we are immature for sex. Parents will disapprove of it. If they approved of it then of course we would be able to talk to them about it and asking them to help us get birthcontrol. What you said was total bullsh** because talking to your parents about you having sex is a very awkward situation whether u are mature or immature. many adults now find it awkward to speak about it with their parents. and also..what does being 18 make the difference? even when ur 18 ur feelings about telling ur parents are still awkward

The fact that you have to hide this from your parents is a clear indication of your immaturity and lack of responsibility to engage in sexual activities. Many teens think they are ready and old enough to for sex yet, they act in an a childish manner regarding it. Bottom line...you aren't old enough when you have to hide what you are doing. Wait till you are 18, it's only a year or less.
