Don't worry you will still be able to get VCR's for many many years to come. You can still buy audio cassette players and turn tables for you old music, and CDs have been around for about 20 years now.

VCR's may be obsolete but it will be many years before they are completely off the market. Keep those old tapes until you can replace them with DVD's. I have a huge movie collection (at least 3000 titles) I have many still on VHS that I have not yet replaced. I will keep them and occasionally watch them.

Some movies that were placed on VHS have not been released as DVDs yet. As time goes on those will grow as collectibles. This is what happened to LP's. The ones that have never been released on CD are the most valuable.

I wouldn't like it at all. Either he would have trust issues, in which case I would like to sort it some other way than him video taping me... or he is a bit perverted and gets some kind of kick out of watching me like that. And thats just weird. I would feel violated and loose all trust in him. I would feel uncomfortable from then on... never knowing if he's watching me or not. So i dont know if i qould be able to even carry on the relationship or not!!

well, if you don't really want to put any effort it...they must not be worth it.....so that puts questionable value on them...but you could see if the historical society in your town is interested....but CD is the way to go if you want to keep them

If your VCR is still in good condition and still works, then save them. I would never throw mine out if it were me.

if you don't want to transfer them to DVD, then you can donate them to a library.....or toss them out.
