Does this guy do anything without being told what to do, say and think? If so, what?

Most of the planet see's Bush as an imbecile who just does what he's told to do by big business, including his response to illegal Mexican immigration and the war in Iraq. Most American Democrats see him that way... and even many Republicans will agree that the guy is a few french-fries short of a Happy Meal.

So which is he? The 'Decider'? Or the guy who's given the script and just tries to say it without screwing it up too bad?

the electorate are the ultimate deciders. I am still asking the question: "how can such an imbicile be in a position of such power"?

I think he is the Commander in Chief as opposed to a puppet. My feeling is that he spends too much time/not enough time listening to the advice of his advisors and then acts on his own accord.

More like a puppet with power. All his doctrines and plans even the invasion of Iraq was not his idea but from his secretary of defense and his cronies Wolfowitz and Perle.

He's the leader and decider. Don't allow yourself to be snowed by the liberal media. You're smarter than that.
