For Christmas, my gf's parents gave me a $100 dollar gift card. But Im not the kind that likes to spend money at the mall or anything like that so is there any way that I could get that money in cash or somehow deposit it into my checkings account? Help! Me dont wanna spend it, but save it.

I think the only way would be to sell it to a friend or family member. You know it is just like cash, you can use it at the grocery store or for gas at anywhere that excepts american express.

Nope! Gift cards do not let you take the cash. Im sure you can think of some way to spend it. Clothes, movies, movies, groceries, whatevers. Just make it a point to go to the mall JUST to spend the card, or give it to someone who does go the mall and have them give you the cash.

Actually there is, spend the gift card on something, anything that is 100 bucks, and then return the merchandise the next day. Since it is a gift card they shouldn't put the balance back on the card like they would a credit card. They will only give you cash back. And if that wont work, you can buy a home depot gift card for that price, and then buy something worth 100 and then return that. I know for sure that will work.
