I've read some things about increasing racism there, I know it's everywhere, but is it true that non-white people is struck on streets, metro and so on just because of race?
It seems weird, I mean that country fought against that...

P.S.: Don't have anything against russian people or something. Thanks for answering.

Many countries all over the world are experiencing an increase in racism (Russia included). A lot of this is in response to globalism - people feel threatened about it when they or someone they know losses his or her job and it's replaced by a foreigner. Also, I think it's in response (or backlash to) many years of political correctness bull s h i t. Despite proclaiming academic and intellectual freedoms, many countries will arrest someone if they deny the holocaust (for example). That kind of repression is bound to create a back lash and you are seeing that today.

Like in any other country: there are place where you do not have to be in the night if you do not know the custom of that place (or the language to speak). An unfortunately, media present only these case on news!
