That's the joke, they do use American law, law imposed by the US. Why do you think judges who found him innocent in this trial were replaced until the US got the verdict it wanted?
He will be hanged soon because he is also accused of the gassing of of 100's of thousands of Kurds, with gas supplied by the US for that purpose.
That is the reason we are invited to believe that a 30 day, come what may, sentence will be carried out, regardless of other scheduled trials, in which it would be inevitable that the US was proved a conspirator.
No such "30 day law" has existed until now. But thank the Lord, we are able to believe anything we are told.

He is set to hang within 30 days. Personally I wouldn't watch it. I just don't care about Saddam. I'm not going to shed a tear either.

I hope he does. I would sell tickets to that event. Actually maybe they should do to him what he did to others. Hanging is too easy for what that bastard did. They should strip him down to his shorts and beat him with wire hangers and then put salt on his wounds, then castrate the a$$hole, then pull his fingernails out one at a time, slowly, then feed him to piranahs or lions or while he is still bleeding, to the sharks.
I am sorry, I really am not into torture.

I dont like the man (obviously) but I have to admit to slight pity for him . Hes Dying so that Bush could nick the Oil and use him as an excuse !!
We would have all stayed safer with him in charge over there cos right now, were stirring up a sh*t load of trouble for ourselves in our own countrys !!

According to Iraqi law, he was sentenced to hang. Whether or not it occurs on the next 30 days remains to be seen.

Why would they use American law?
He was not tried in America. His crimes were not against Americans. He is not an American.
I think It is a shame he is not going to be stoned by his victims.
