10^5rt2y=2^5rt2y*5^5rt2y
4^5rt2y=-2^5rt2y*2^5rt2y
10^5rt2y-4^5rt2y

Presuming all of the 2y is inside the radical, for sqrt(2y), and presuming you mean

(10^5)sqrt(2y) - (4^5)sqrt(2y), then you can group them like variables. Alternatively, you can just factor out the (2y), which will get you the exact same thing.

sqrt(2y) [10^5 - 4^5]

sqrt(2y) [100000 - 1024]
98976 sqrt(2y)
