i know for a fact that there is good foriegn music out there. i've heard it.
is it like a conspiracy to keep america for expanding the culture of other contries?

Well, historically, we have gotten lots of exposure to British music, and to a lesser degree, Aussie music. In some cases, we've even gotten stuff from Canada (Loverboy, Rush, Bryan Adams) and New Zealand (Split Enz, Crowded House), but not that much.

As for the non-English-speaking-world, well, maybe America doesn't want to bother with things that are beyond its understanding. Or language.

It's hard enough for Americans to get into the American music scene. It's gotta be infinitely harder for non-American bands.
