My 1999 Crown Victoria Heater started blowing only cold air over the weekend. Seems to have plenty of coolant and doesn't seem to have any of the same symptoms as another ford vehicle I had to have heater core replaced on years ago. Engine Temperture seems normal. Can't figure it out.

Have your thermostat checked. It could be stuck and needs replaced. They don't cost that much and not that complicated to fix.

The simplest and most probable thing is the heater control valve, this is a little cable controlled or vacuum controlled device that is on the heater hose, usually input side. It looks like a couple of small pie plates connected together with the bottoms facing out. Most are about 3 to 4 inches across and a couple of inches thick. the cable or whatever opens the valve fails and no heat. Pretty inexpensive to replace in most cases. There is only a clamp on each end which allows you to remove and replace it. Some are directional, they will have an arrow pointing in the direction of intended flow, check this before removing the old one.
There are other possibilities, the control panel may have some sort of problem going on, these are fairly simple and most diy people can figure it out. It is a fairly low end cost for a shop to fix this, unlike a heater core!

Thermostat is stuck in the open position. Doesn't allow the coolant to heat up before circulating through the heater core. Cheap and easy to fix. Less than $300 at a shop, Less than $50 and a 6 pack if you have a buddy with tools and know how.

I go with robert D, you got a bad heater valve. If it's vacuum operated it may be the hose has come loose or has a leak. It is located under the hood on one of the heater hoses which are quite obvious if you look in the area of the heater.
