RE:
why do stars have different colours?

stars like our sun are not all the same temperature. many stars are relatively cooler than other stars. some stars are much hotter than our sun. it is this heat of the star that makes it a different colour.
u might find this hard to digest, but blue stars are the hottest, and red stars the coldest.

Because they are different temperatures. Some cool ones are only red hot, while others are white hot (like the Sun) and some are even blue hot!

-heat and age effect a stars color because the older the star is the cooler it is. when it is cooler its wavelengths of lights are farther apart which make a different color(red).
-ALSO, along with the heat and age thing, the direction of earths orbit effect the color. if your planet is moving away from the star its color looks more red because of the longer light wave length of light. if your planet(earth) is orbiting closer toward the star the stars color will look more blue. this is because the wavelenghts of light coming from the star are basically smashed into your planet because your planet is moving into the light. the closer together wave lenghts of lights are,the bluer and even more violet they look.

Due to:
- Chemical composition of the star
-- Its temperature
-- Its direction of movement w.r.to the earth

They have different colors mainly because of their inner compositions.

A stars heat depends on its color.

the color represents how hot or old they are. Chemical composition of the star can also be identified by looking at its color.
