i just sometimes feel like looking back at my past,though i have walked far away from it.

yes,
we have a map of our future as well
as a map of our past, i sometimes
look back to see if anything was left
behind so i may take note and adjust
my future as to hopefully not make
the same mistakes ....
if possible .....

I have only done that twice, and that was when my fiance was going out of town on a trip and i had to leave him at the check in gate. i watched him go down the hall until i couldnt see him anymore and then i walked away, and turned back for a fleeting moment to see did he come back... then i sobbed miserably... and then by the time i got to my car i was done.
I hate it when he goes out of town on the airplane... much easier when he just leaves driving....

Yea, most of the time. There are times when I am so determined to leave something behind that I will not bother with looking back.

Yeah I do that sometimes, but I try hard not to because there is a reason its in the past

I look back just to remember how I got here and why....
call those memories stepping stones! we all still have a lot more steps to go.
