i am thinking of getting a hermit crab or two. but do not know how much they cost

The hermit crabs them selves are cheap 2-5 dollars. (I would reccomend you get 2, they are social creatures, and one on its own will get lonely) Get them when they are young. Also, hermit crabs have defined personalities, you want to get your crab based on how they act at the store
The expensive part is the cage (you can use an aquarium) personnally I would reccomend you get land crabs, much more fun. You should also make sure you read up about them. They are not supper hard to take care of (not as easy as a fish, but much easier than a dog or cat) but they have certain things you HAVE to do right (you need to learn how to fee them, wat to do when they molt (not much) ect) You can look on google to see how much a small (ish) container will cost, so you are prepared when you go to buy one.
PS: hermit crabs love to climb, make sure you get them a log shelter (a sideways cup will do if you must) and some climbing toys (sticks at pet stores)

At petco the small ones cost about three dollars and the big ones about six or seven dollars. THere are some other things that can influence the price such as the crab's color, type and the shell.

They sometimes sell some in the mall. For around $12-$15.

They are 3.98 at Walmart-they usually put them in little cups over by the fish tanks. Meijers has them too for about the same price. At pet stores not in the mall they are usually about 3.00. Don't buy them at the mall they really overcharge you. Get a few of them they like having company. I have 11 of them and they are wonderful little pets and very easy to care for.

i had like 7 hermits and they costed under 10 dollars just look around before u buy them!!!

it depends on were u r going to buy them if u buy them at the mall it will be 10-20 dollars but is u go 2 a pet store u will get them for about 9-12

the cab mite be 6 to 7 dollars but every thing that you have to buy for in mite come up to 69-90 but they live for a long time i had one and it would not die
so i got rid of it

The ones I've seen are pretty cheap... No more than $10 or $15... Though it could vary from location to location... I'm not sure...

most pet stors sell them for 5$ or less or if you go to polaces like free cycle in yahoo groups you can find them for free and you will be givning a pet a good home and know where its from
